Fraudulent VISA Charges in Mexico After vacationing in Mexico by automobile and by plane more than thirty times during my life, I have come to the extreme disillusion to see my favorite places function more and more in near-chaos. My last vacation in Puerto Vallarta (the fourth one there) was ruined by a fraudulent charge to my VISA credit card. The sum fraudulently charged was for about $ 1,180 for the purchase of so-called "auto parts". These charges were incurred well after my return to the U.S. I travelled by air this vacation, and didn't use any ground transportation other than the public bus. According to my banking institution, the records indicate that my VISA card was imprinted twice at the time the fraud was committed. My signature was subsequently forged on the second blank charge form. There are only three places in where I used my card all of them in Puerto Vallarta. (1) Hard Rock Cafe (2) Hotel Vidafel Resort (3) Hotel Marriott Casa ( lounge bar). At these places, my VISA card was taken away for imprinting out of my sight. I will chose other places to travel while on vacation besides Mexico. I even scrubbed by idea of retiring there, although now this is the time when I have always thought that I would do it. I am finished being a permanent victim of younger, eager, and money hungry Mexicans. I will no longer expose myself to more and more unpleasantness every time that I go to Mexico. I am finished with spending my tourist dollars there! From this tourist's lifelong experience, I have seen the more than the areas of the resource Mexicans deteriorate. Prices have gone up, uncontrolled. There is little relaxation and peace to be found where there used to be peace. One can find it in the confines of one's hotel room, so intense is the activity of salespersons and the panhandlers on the beach or in the city. Marcelgs
